Chaperones

Our practice is dedicated to creating a secure, comfortable environment where patients and staff can rely on confidentiality and practice policies being adhered to at all times. Safeguarding of our patients is top priority.

To safeguard a patient against humiliation, pain or distress during an examination a chaperone can protect against verbal, sexual, physical or other abuse for both the patient and clinician.

Several trained staff are available if a chaperone is requested. It may, on rare occasions, be necessary to cancel and reschedule the appointment if no trained chaperones are available.

Friends or family can accompany you, but the clinician has the right to request a chaperone, if they feel it necessary.
