The assistant to the practice manager is available to assist with any duties required to help the PM manage the practice, including general administration, maintenance, human resources and finances.

A patient administrator in a GP surgery is a non-clinical staff member responsible for the daily behind the scenes and frontline processes. They manage patient records, process clinical correspondence, coordinate appointment systems, respond to incoming enquires and ensure the surgery runs efficiently.

They manage patient referrals, type clinical correspondence, process incoming and outgoing post (such as hospital letters and test results), and act as a key liaison between the practice, hospitals, and patients
