Patient Participation Group

A group of volunteer patients, carers and surgery staff who meet regularly to discuss and support the running of the surgery.

Patient Participation Groups look at the services offered, patient experience and how improvements can be made for the benefit of everyone.

Each Patient Participation Group is different, but they all have the aim of making sure that the surgery puts the patient, and improving health, at the heart of everything it does.

Our aim

  • Form a patient participation group and also a ‘virtual’ patient participation group – this is an email community that we can consult on a regular basis about the services of practice
  • We would like our ‘virtual’ group to be representative of our local community and to include patients of all ages and with a wide variety of different needs

How we contact you

  • We will contact you by email every now and again, to seek your opinion about services
  • We will only ask questions about the practice in the form of short questionnaires
  • We will add your email address to a contact list
  • Your contact details will be kept safely and securely and will only be used for this purpose
  • If you decide at any point that you no longer wish to be involved, you will just need to inform us and we will be happy to remove your contact details

Join our Patient Participation Group

All registered patients are able to join our Patient Participation Group. People of all genders, ages, ethnicities, and those with health conditions and disabilities are encouraged to join.

Members should as far as possible, be representative of the surgery population.
